In this project, I animated a honing machine as a 3D rendering. The animation shows the machine with its various drill attachments and measuring rods, illustrating both its structure and function. The basis for this work was existing CAD data, originally created for construction purposes. I processed this data technically, adapted it visually, and animated it.
Projects like this demonstrate how existing technical 3D data (often used only internally) can also be leveraged for clear and engaging visualizations. In addition to executing the animation, I develop the concept myself and quickly familiarize myself with new technical subjects—an especially important part of the work when dealing with complex products.
